Hello. Again.

The one thing I always say to bloggers (and micro-bloggers… or anyone with a social media presence, really) is “never explain what you do or why.” When something comes up in your life and you can’t post for a while, don’t come back and say, “Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, but—”

Fuck that. It’s your site or blog or whatever. You don’t owe anyone an explanation… All of that said, I’m going to explain why I’ve been away for a while.

After maintaining a content schedule of at least three posts a day on multiple platforms for years, which led to a career in social media, I totally burned out on social media. Like, I hated social media. Still do, kinda.

So, after just a couple of years, I quit my brand new career as a social media manager, left Facebook for good, and put this here Tumblr account on the shelf for a bit while I focused on my books and some other projects. Now, a couple of those projects are starting to come to fruition. (I can’t say what they are, but one of them rhymes with “fodcast.” And here’s a photo from our “mecording session.”)

Anyway, no matter whether I’m crappily managing a company’s Twitter account or writing books or hustling to get one of my secret projects off the ground, I’m always a father. And I missed writing about it on this platform. And I missed you. Yes, you.

So, I’m back.

There’s a lot on which to catch you up. Wyatt and Boone are now 11 and absolute heartbreakers. Both of them did some acting (I mean, this is L.A., it just happens)… Whatever, I’ll share all of that in time.
