Check Out This First Look at Marvel’s Disney+ Shows in This Hero-Heavy Super Bowl Trailer

Marvel wasn’t content to use the Super Bowl to advertise one of its Disney+ shows that it’s got on the horizon; instead it went with a combination spot that gave us our first glimpses at “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” “WandaVision” and “Loki.”

You can watch the video above, which first aired during Super Bowl LIV on Sunday.

First up on the calendar is “Falcon and Winter Soldier,” which is currently listed for fall of 2020. “WandaVision” will come after that, also this year, with “Loki” following in 2021.

“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, who reprise their big-screen roles as Sam Wilson aka Falcon and Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, respectively. The upcoming series will focus on Wilson, aka Falcon, taking on the mantle of Captain America. At the end of “Avengers: Endgame,” an elderly Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) hands Wilson his shield.

Kari Skogland is directing the six-part miniseries. Emily VanCamp and Daniel Bruhl also reprise their roles as Sharon Carter and Helmut Zemo, receptively, on “Falcon & Winter Soldier.”

“WandaVision” puts its focus squarely on Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), aka Scarlet Witch, and Vision (Paul Bettany), though what exactly it’s about is not really clear at this time. We just know it’ll be wacky and sitcom-ish, traits that are on full display in this ad.

The “Loki” series will follow Tom Hiddleston’s fan-favorite character after a past version of him teleported out of New York with the Tesseract during the time heist in “Avengers: Endgame,” and will have him hop around time influencing a variety of historical events.

Jeremy Renner will reprise his role as Clint Barton in “Hawkeye,” which will also see the MCU debut of Kate Bishop. Additionally, the animated “What If…” will premiere in 2021, which tells non-cannon stories of Marvel characters, with many MCU actors returning to voice their on-screen characters.

Those shows will all be followed by “Ms. Marvel,” “Moon Knight” and “She-Hulk.”
