Career Day with Kids in Orange and Marc Harshman gets the Allen Ginsberg poetry award!

Busy couple of days! 

Yesterday I visited Heywood Avenue School in Orange for Career Day (see right), and today went to hear friend (and WV poet laureate) Marc Harshman receive the Allen Ginsberg poetry award at the Poetry Center at Passaic (NJ) County Commmunity College )

This was the fortieth anniversary of that excellent Center, founded and still run by Maria Mazziotti Gillan. This is a prestigious award, and Marc's poem "Poet in the Schools" was super, as a poem, and as performed!
