January 31, 2020: I think I might be etherium-deficient!
I remember Dark Matter director/stunt coordinator John Stead coming into my office one day, looking down at the supplements crowding my desk and throwing me a concerned: “Joe, man. Are you okay?”
In retrospect, I probably didn’t need to be taking so many, but I’d just read a Men’s Health article that outlined the most important supplements a man my age should be taking – which happened to amount to approximately 12-15 pills daily.
I know, I know. I hear that supplements are unnecessary and you get all the vitamins and minerals you need by just eating properly. But who has the time to eat properly? Which is why I do a multivitamin every day. And vitamin D because, according to my doctor, I’m low. And zinc for . Oh, and resveratrol for its antioxidant properties. And that’s pretty much it.
In addition to a mega-pack containing: vitamins A, D3, E, C, B1, B2, niacin, pantothetic acid, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid, biotin, calcium, phosphorous, iodine, magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese, potassium, selenium, silicone, choline, inositol, fish oil, DHA, EPA, glucosamine, MSM, catechu, skullcap, etherium, adamantium, inertron, naquadah, and Element Zero.
Now that I think of it, I probably don’t need to double up on the vitamin D and zinc.
Well, I’m looking to finish up a first draft of this series overview (an adaptation of sorts) for top of next week when I can start working on my new feature script. Hopefully, by that time, I will have received notes on the outline for my second TimEscape script. And further news on that out-of-nowhere opportunity that presented itself earlier this week. And that other BIG project that sits, poised to either land or crash in spectacular fashion…sometime in February.
It also looks like I’ll be heading to Montreal to dogsit for my sister in the coming weeks. Akemi, who has been watching way too many coronavirus youtube videos aint exactly thrilled at the prospect of me being out of town for an extended period, but I reassured her that we should have full confidence in our government that doesn’t seem at all concerned by the prospect of a pandemic. In fact, they seem downright disinterested.
Anyway, I’ve been thinking of switching my reading up a little by checking out some graphic novels. Any recent must-reads to recommend? Any can’t-miss classics to suggest? Feel free to inundate my comments section.
Still eyeing March for business/dog adoption-themed trip to L.A. Pitch a few projects. Take a few meetings. And hopefully adopt a senior pug or two.
What’s new with you?
