Top 5 cp eps & whyyy :)

Again, this is only the order for today, but these 5 are generally my favs:

1.  Ipswich - Something about Douglas and Martin’s squabbling, and Arthur’s obliviousness, and Mr Sergeant, just make me laugh every time.  Also, I used to live near there, so it’s even better.

2.  Johannesburg - The image of Carolyn sitting in a deck chair watching Douglas wash a car leaves me in giggles for days (and also sparked my C/D shipping heart).  Plus, “Every time I have heard a dog, he have said to me ‘wow wow’“ is a perfectly delivered line.

3. St. Petersburg - Douglas doing something clever to save the day, the found family feels of it all, plus it was the first ep I heard “live” on the radio.  So much growth in the characters!

4.  Limerick - The limericks, Martin’s watch, the games, the camaraderie between them.

5.  Zurich - The perfect wrap-up to the perfect series.  John Finnemore wrapped everything up brilliantly, and I was left with an overwhelming sense of rightness at the end, which doesn’t usually happen with finales.

Special mention:  Ottery St Mary, which has my all-time favorite line:  “Being sure to open them with care, as otters may have shifted during flight.”

Thank you for asking!  What are yours?
