What Are You Looking for in an Author Newsletter?

In an effort to improve my newsletter, I'm sending a survey to my subscribers.  Because I write romance and cozy mystery, my newsletters can contain information on either or both.  I'm trying to decide if I need to write separate newsletters for each genre instead.
Along the way, I'd like to improve my content, so subscribers find value in opening my newsletters once they are received.  What are you looking for when you sign up for an author's newsletter??
