Alexander wrote a beautiful and almost lyrical tale around Hades and Persephone that was more like what I imagined than what was always presented. She did a great job of developing the characters and really making them her own while exploring the known myth. Hades is more than just a soul collector, she’s turned him into flesh and blood with wants and needs which was so well done and believable as the story progresses that I’m all full of feels. .
