First day over of a new decade

People gathered this afternoon on Ainsdale beach to watch the first sunset of the new decade.


















The weather stayed calm and mild over the Irish Sea as the evening arrived.

































Then darkness fell, leaving the cold shoreline to the lonely cries of the curlew, herring gull and oystercatchers.
