WARCHILD UNIVERSE CONTEST

I mentioned on my Twitter (http://twitter.com/karinlow) that come 2012, it would be 10 years since WARCHILD was published and I was thinking of running some kind of contest to win some swag, and to say thank you to all of my readers who've followed my career this far. I'm going to go ahead and run this contest.

The details are still being worked out and I'll take a picture of the swag. It's not going to be a random contest, I've decided, where names just get put in a hat and I pick them at random. I want real fans who would really want the prizes to submit.

For more details, follow my Twitter or check back on the main page of my site here: www.karinlowachee.com. I'll post a reminder once all the rules and such are up.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Jesse This is so exciting! I can't believe it's been ten years already. All three Warchild Universe books still have the honor spot at the top of my bookcase; reserved for favorites! :) Swag sounds awesome, but I'm sure all of us would agree that the best prize would be another book in the series!! Please? I can't wait to see where you go with this. Thank you! -Jesse Norton

Thank you so much Jesse! I am working on SO many different projects but 2012 is finally the year to make good on some good intentions where the Warchild Universe is concerned. I have some short stories related to the world, and a lot more ideas for others, and I want to at least make those available to the readers while another novel may or may not happen. Hopefully the short stories would tide people over. Thank you for reading and all the enthusiasm!

Jesse Wow! I'm not sure why, but I did not expect you to write back! Someone else, maybe, but not you. I'm happily surprised. :) While the Warchild books will always be my favorite, I look forward to reading your new projects, as well! This year looks like a good one all around. Thanks for writing back! (P.S. I also have to thank you for introducing me to my all-time favorite band, 30 Seconds to Mars. Provehito in altum. :))

I try to always respond to my readers! It's the least I can do. Emails sometimes get lost in the shuffle but I try to keep up with them. I have some stories coming out in anthologies this year and my fantasy novel THE GASLIGHT DOGS was released in 2010, so I hope you enjoy those as well. Thank you for reading, Jesse!

(It's so funny that so many people have told me they got into the band because of me...I really didn't like their last album and have since mostly stopped listening to them. :x)

Jesse I have read "The Gaslight Dogs" and while I love Sjenn's strong character, I'm still partial to Jos, Ryan, and Yuri. :) Still, I'll make sure to catch the anthologies. As far as 30 Seconds to Mars goes...every time I hear them I picture Ryan at the helm playing his guitar...and then I have to go re-read "Burndive" again. :) So, thank YOU for writing! :)
