PROJECT RUNWAY.....BEHIND THE SCENES of Filming Season 18 "Project Runway": PREMIERE EPISODE Photo Recap!

Karlie Flyin'--Karlie Kloss in front of the TWA Lockheed Constellation 1958 airplane--TWA Hotel, JFK Airport

Two weeks ago was the PREMIERE of "Project Runway" Season 18 on Bravo!! This is my second season being a Consulting Producer on the show. I helped with the Challenges, Casting of the Designers, Fabric Picks, Time Constraints and much, much more (even trying to fix the sewing machines!)....needless to say, I was so excited for the Premiere! The first episode was introduced at the iconic Eero Saarinen-designed TWA Flight Center--now the TWA Hotel--at JFK Airport.

Nick Verreos--TWA Hotel, JFK Airport

If you know me, you are aware that I am an #AvGeek and love anything that involves Airplanes, Airplane Food, Airline Travel...Flight Attendant Uniforms...you get it! My father was a diplomat and he traveled A LOT and so did we so...yeah, I'm an "Airplane Fan".

Designers...For Your First Challenge--Karlie Kloss and Christian Siriano introduce the First Challenge to the new Season 18 "Project Runway" designers--TWA Hotel at JFK

So, I was beyond happy to be working at this iconic location of the TWA Flight Center. I will have a separate BLOG about the Behind-the-Scenes of checking it all out but for now, it's time to recap the Challenge and Episode with my pics from being "behind-the-scenes".

After the Challenge was announced, the designers went to Mood Fabrics and then they got to create their designs, all inspired by "Flying off in Style into Space"--if you were one of those multimillionaire folks who can reserve a seat for that kind of futurist stuff...The designers were teamed up in teams of two, with one designer doing a Flying-there Look and another, a Cocktail Ensemble once they have arrived. Here are the looks:
