I have been lucky enough to witness random acts of kindness from strangers over the years and have never posted anything I'd seen. I hope to change that today!
A year ago, right at Christmas time, I had just parked at a grocery store in a not so great area of town. I was visiting my sister who had just gotten out of the hospital and went to buy her some food. After finding a parking space, I answered a phone call and sat in the car for a few minutes as a seemingly homeless person wandered around the lot. This person danced a little, swayed a bit and stumbled. Then I noticed the person was barefoot. The temperature outside was easily 20-25 degrees F. I was still talking on the phone when a woman escorted who I assumed to be her elderly mother to her car near the homeless person. Situated her mother in the car, then took off her shoes and presented them to the homeless person. My mouth dropped. What an incredible example of love and humanity. I wish I had the courage to have done it myself, but grateful I had seen it. May we all look for ways to serve and give this season!

It must have been exceptionally emotional while you witnessed this being played out. I will guess- this affected you more than hearing it second hand.
It's like that "ah-ha" moment -when it connects.
Happy Holidays!!!
