H Lee Why has the title of the book turned in to "The Book of Book" rather than "The Book"?

The Korean currency is Won, btw.

Keith Houston Hi H - thanks for the comment!

I can't comment on the translator and/or publisher's motivations on changing the title, I'm afraid. Perhaps they thought that it sounded better that way in Korean?

For some reason, the "won" currency symbol has been stripped from the text here. It's in the original article, though: https://shadycharacters.co.uk/2019/12....

H Lee I read the section "About the author" from gimmyoung.com. It says "..., in the evening he rides bicycle, takes care of son and writes a blog about...". You ride bicyles in the eveytning and looks after your son? Ah, that is so sweet. I don't know about riding a bike in the evening bit. Lost in translation here. Is that what you said?

Keith Houston Yup, something has definitely gone amiss! At https://shadycharacters.co.uk/about-me/, I wrote:

"I’m Keith Houston. By day I write medical imaging software but by night I ride my bike, look after my son, and write about punctuation."

It sounds like the publisher has picked up this text and translated it. It's a figure of speech that hasn't quite made the transition to Korean.
