I had a thrilling visit yesterday to Almada, Portugal, as part of the great #Read-On Fan Fiction project. @readonportugal hosted a wonderful event, in which @conniefreiredesousa and I were on stage with six fantastic student readers, with an audience from many local schools. We had a brilliant discussion, built around responses to The Amulet of Samarkand and #Bartimaeus. The students were articulate, impassioned and inspiring. Some great questions too, including: ‘Which is more important to you: ideas or words?’ Tricky! Such a privilege to be part of this ongoing celebration of literature and international collaboration. #readoneu ‬

Mark Loft Out of curiosity, which is more important to you; ideas, or words? ;)
Not read your Bartimaeus series yet, but thoroughly enjoyed Lockwood & Co. And am looking forward to your next concoction.
Keep up the good work, mate.

Mark
