Writing like lightning....and snails.

Skin Hunger and Sacred Scars, the first two books in The Resurrection of Magic trilogy, have won awards, gotten great reviews, and have brought me LOTS of reactions, comments, messages, via every means of communication...

((Woohoo, DragonCon-ees)) ((Hello Tweeps, FB, MySpace and Blogger friends)) ((Thanks so much to all the teachers and librarians))  ((I <3 you, SCBWI folks)) ((YAY for book clubs!)) ((FF! I am just getting started there, but wow...)

...thanks to everyone who has gotten in touch.

Many of you have asked when the next book will be out. I would love for there to be a tiny, quick answer to this, but there isn't.

First: It makes me unbearably happy that you want to know.

Second: Sacred Scars was released in August 2009....!!!  Barely a month before my writing this missive.

Third: I am writing the third book now. It is taking turns (I do not outline, I fly into the mist) that I did not expect and...

Fourth: I am writing as fast as I can without breaking my tenuous ties to the characters by pushing them around.

Fifth: I am writing a Twitter novel online when Sadima and Hahp are hard to reach. It's for YA and adult readers and the full (in progress) text is here:
http://russet-one-wing.blogspot.com/

Sixth: I have finished writing the first two titles of The Faeries Promise. It is set in the same lands as The Unicorn's Secret. Thanks to the nearly 15,000 people of all ages who have contacted me one way or another to tell me you love those books. I love these books, too.

Seventh:  I promise I am not swinging in a hammock, eating grapes until naptime, even though I am still a little jetlaggged from traveling, as usual. I think the last of the trilogy will amaze you. It is amazing me.
