Writing Time Travel

Writing background #101

[image error]In 2012, I wrote my first solo novel, a Military Sci-Fi (Time Travel). I was inspired by the often-faced question I asked myself, “What if?” I originally published this novel with iUniverse as “Eternal Eye” and under my then pen name, Al M. Scott.

Four years later, I held a contest in one of my college computer classes for a title change because I wanted to begin using my real name on the cover. The winning student, Alma Iannicelli, chose “Duty Recall.” She won a free copy of the book and an Amazon gift card. Additionally, Judith San Nicolas, from Spain, did a professional and fantastic cover design for the book (see image).

Today, Duty Recall continues to be my best-selling book on Amazon out of a list of two non-fiction books, one co-authored novel, five solo novels, and three short stories. It has recently taken another jump in the Amazon rankings. If you have never read the story and want to read it, you are in for an exciting alternate history ride (written the same year that Stephen King wrote his time travel novel on JFK…before it was published).

If you have read the story, please consider posting a review on Amazon. The best way readers can support authors without spending a dime is to write a review! Amazon factors these reviews immensely. Based on book sales (a lot) and listed reviews (only one), many are reading the book without leaving any feedback.

Here’s to book readers and may the generations of book readers continue!
