Reduced down, celebrated for only the right reasons, this day is about being thankful. So this, is that. Something I speak of from time to time, is the reality of my life as someone on the Autism spectrum, and the reality is, sometimes it’s a hell of a lot harder for me than I let on, as I have 35 years of practice on seeming like I am ok, like I have it together. The reality is, while it’s tough for me, it absolutely must be hell for those that love me most, for my breathtakingly beautiful adventurer of a wife, @sarahlinden . The patience she must have, the tenderness, the understanding, for dealing with me when I get lost in my mind, when I get overwhelmed with noise, with change, with lights or crowds, will never stop impressing me, soothing me. I am thankful for being loved precisely as I am, without judgement or demand for change, I am thankful for being told it’s ok to be this way, that being ‘normal’ is overrated, that I am this way for a reason. Thank you wife, for loving me this way. Thank you.
