Hello, Write Edge readers! It’s Wednesday, and, yes, I know I was supposed to be here two days ago for you. Between the kids having the day off on Monday for Veteran’s Day, the snow coming down in torrents, and me working on my novel…well, it was a day when some things (like meeting my novel writing goals for the week) got done and others didn’t.
It’s still pretty cold here in Central Illinois, and as meteorologists tell us most of the country is experiencing some sort of chilly effects (even if that means it’s 60 degrees where you’d normally have 80!) To that end, I thought I’d give you something a little extra to keep you warm — all the content I would have normally posted so far in the week here today.
First, this week’s motivational quote. Hey, just ’cause it’s Wednesday doesn’t mean we couldn’t use a little bit of inspiration, right? Hopefully, writers, it’ll make you smile and also think at the same time:
“The writer who breeds
More words than he needs
Is making a chore
For the reader who reads.”—Dr. Seuss
Next, I’m posting this week’s short story. I know, I know, it’s not Monday — what’s UP with all this?
