Update, Plus Spotify Playlist for TBDNE
First off, there has been a substantial uptick in interest in This Book Does Not Exist, thanks in part (I think) to a free book promotion with Amazon that I timed to Christmas Day. That anyone would choose my hybrid of memoir and fiction to read when there are millions of other books available continues to surprise and inspire me. When I decided to write the book some time after seeing Kanye West perform "Love Lockdown" on the MTV Movie Awards, I hoped that I could transform my own personal turmoil into an emotionally relatable piece of literature.
That TBDNE has, over the past sixteen months, consistently found more and more readers with virtually no publicity outside of word of mouth suggests my hopes were fulfilled. It is an exaggeration, albeit not an extreme one, to say writing this book saved my life. Based on messages I've received, I know that it has meant something to at least a few others, as well.
For this, I am deeply grateful.
Now a bit of housekeeping: I can be followed on Twitter or added on Facebook. There is also an unofficial Facebook page for the book here that sprung organically out of people listing it as one of their favorites. I may or may not create an actual page for the book in the near future. If someone reads this and would like to, please contact me via email at mikejudes@gmail.com
As for the Spotify playlist teased in the title, I couldn't get every song that's referenced in the book on to this playlist - songs from Bob Dylan, including those from Blood on the Tracks, weren't available - but this is a nice compilation:

Thank you again for your interest and support. If you are so moved to, reviews and feedback are always welcome. Telling your friends about TBDNE is also very, very cool.
Happy holidays. Here's to greatness for the new year.
