speak of time and its passing,

and filled with a hope that never
had a reason to stay.

Over I lean, and to the other side,
plant a kiss beneath your ear
and speak to you of place,
of all the life in all the far off
worlds we will see,
of the light we will chase
and stand slack jawed and
breathless watching.
