Wow, goodness! The titan of my fics - not by my own estimation, but seemingly by yours! - my silly, semi-crack premise, Best of Three, just attained 120,000 hits today! I only celebrate story milestones like this every 10,000 hits, which means that BoT has now had a whopping twelve of these, far more than any of my other fics. I originally wrote it just to give myself something lighter-hearted than the series 3 fix-its I’d been madly pumping out (Deductions of a Lesser Mind, Act IV, then Vena Cava, all within about two months of series 3 airing!), and never once expected it to turn out to be so wildly popular. (I’m talking just in comparison to my own collection, not to fics in general, for the record!) I was baffled at first, went through a very short phase of being slightly miffed that this silly little piece was getting so much more love than my serious, plot-intensive, emotionally dense ones, but that’s long past. Now I’m just pleased as punch that apparently so many of you like this story so much. Thank you!!!!!
