Mirror, Mirror

I’m totally into the look of distressed antique mirrors and mercury glass, so I was doing a google image search to take a closer look. I found this delightful blog post about achieving a distressed look on plexi and was suitably impressed!

But then I was inspired to take a look around my own house, which was built in 1910. The mirrors that were original to the house inside my dining room? No degradation.

However…the vanity from the unfortunate 2008 bathroom re-do? I think they might’ve used these distressing techniques!
