Algorithmic asinine atrocities
bottled broken beauty
canned cliche created by committee,
duplicated drivel driving
egocentric egomaniacs
fabricating false familiarities,
growing gargantuan groups
hocking hoards of hedonistic,
idiotic, indulgent, ironic ideals.
Justify this junkyard justice and
kings of kitsch killing
lonely lovers languishing, lost,
missing meaning, missing magic
never noticed, now nearly
overlooked, often overtly.

Pure poetry, poets presenting pain as
quiet quibbles, quaking,
reaching rare reservations
secret, silent, slumbering soundly,
transforming tender trivialities to truth,
understanding underneath us,
veiled, voracious.
We wish wonderment wouldn’t wash or wane with
xylography, x-ray or xerox,
youthfulness yearning yesterdays,
zigzagging into zealots and zombies.
