The Devil. Who the hell is it?

The Devil. Who the hell is it?

From a holistic and non-dualistic perspective there is no separation, so writing about the devil in the traditional sense may seem out of place.
But even if we strive to see the unity of all things there are some aspects of existence that we cannot help but perceive as horrible, cruel, evil without measure. And even if this evil is an illusion, it becomes reality, sometimes the only possible reality.
What is the cause of evil, whether it is illusion or reality?
In traditional Christianity it is the devil, commonly referred to as Satan, whose Greek root means “accusing, attacking, opposing”.
In the sacred texts Satan is in fact described as the Great Accuser.
The first effect of Satan’s accusatory work is seen in Genesis, when after the episode of the fruit, suddenly everyone starts to accuse: Adam, Eve and … even God.
The root of satanism and evil dwells in accusation. The devil is the part of our mind that continually accuses us and also the one that accuses others. We are accused inside and outside, in our thoughts and in the words of those who accuse us, just as we accuse inside and outside, in thoughts and words of accusation towards others. This causes guilt, shame, fear, revenge, fight, wars and our human horrors.
All this point to highlight the fact that the source of evil is the attitude of accusing, blaming, condemning oneself or others.
It follows that from the prevailing thoughts and discourses, internalized or externalized by mankind, we can deduce that we are in a rather satanic world.
