Half a planet away from what we call home
and still we feel it,
moves where you move, don’t you know
by now, goes where you do,
and so I follow.  Always,
I follow.

A light into the grey
and we rise like fog,
settle too, just like it does,
wrap up into the soft places,
become dew on heather,
become the sound of wind
as it moves curtains of rainfall
across the green and russet.  
Keep going, I’m still
following.

Off, off, off and up and out,
wild beyond and here we are,
pointing right at it,
pretending we can peer through
that shimmering blanket
of white and cloud come
earthward.  
Go, I’m coming too.
