First post, hello my GR followers!

Hello Goodreads world!

I logged in today and saw that I have new followers, what a surprise! Thank you! I suppose I should write a post to celebrate, right?

What I'm up to today is writing a short story for the collection I'm (slowly) working on, replying to reader emails, and trying to stay warm. It's our first truly COLD day in Seattle, and I'm just not ready for it!

I'm so grateful that I can work from home, all bundled up, listening to music, a mug of strong, hot coffee always close by. If that's a cliched image of a writer, so be it.

I hope you're warm and cozy today too, (or you live in a more pleasant climate) and you're reading something truly excellent. Send book recommendations my way!
