Cover Reveal - Sheila the Vampire: Dancing with the Enemy
I'm excited to share the cover of my next book; Sheila the Vampire: Dancing with the Enemy. I did a survey with the red dress and the blue dress, with fangs or without fangs. So about 70% said no fangs so that was pretty straight forward, but the color of the dress was a different matter. It was tied so I had to make an executive decision, I chose the red dress since that is the color in the book and it seems right for a vampire. It was interesting that women all wanted the red dress and the men the blue dress.

My son Sean is the vampire hunter/love interest in the background. It was fun using his picture.
I asked Lara to put a more distinctive moon in the picture since that is part of Sheila's curse. She has to drink blood during the full moon. I thought the moon Lara came up with rocks.
My illustrator was once again Lara Wynter from Wynter design. I feel she created a fantastic cover. I'm always excited about what she comes up with.

Sheila is forced to marry against her will, but when her husband dies she feels her fortunes have improved. She just has to act wretched rather than joyous to keep up appearances, but soon a vampire clan takes an interest in her.
On midnight of the full moon the clan attempts to force her to become one of them. She kills the clan leader and his second in the process while remaining part human. She becomes the mistress of what is left of the clan and has a single minion, Naomi, whom she must now care for.
Because Sheila is only half vampire her bite comes with special healing properties, therefore she is the target of the Duke who wants to take advantage of her healing power. Her blood allows other vampires to be resistant to the cross, holy water, garlic and the vampire hounds, thus other clans are after her blood.
She takes the persona of her dearly departed husband and goes into exile to Ireland. She soon realizes that the hunters are pursuing her there as well. She become infatuated with one of the hunters, Mister Jones. How can she get to know him better without being staked?
She and Naomi travel to Portugal to find some witches to turn them human. They must continue to evade the hunters there. She confronts the witches; will they end her life or help her? Only one of them can become human again, who will it be; her or Naomi?
