If the media paid a single ounce of attention to the travails of educators in this country — the time, sweat, tears and terrors —say, instead of billionaire start-up wankers and corrupt business people — I think we’d arrive at a consensus. We need to cultivate and care for those in the teaching profession better.

Christ, how much can it really cost to set up a motivated person with free schooling and accreditation, subsided housing, lower auto loan rates, healthcare and a comfy salary of say upwards of 60k? Hell people would line up to teach. I started in at an inner-city school in East Boston teaching English in the 90’s. Tough place. Didn’t make it. Got bounced for “rocking the boat” Gasp!
