The wisest statue

In the dark

you cannot see the light.

It is a magician

without a pen, or poetry.

In the dark

you cannot see her smile.

At night, she smiles,

open, wide, free

and more than ever,

lost to be last.

It is quiet in my books,

the same as in your books.

It is the silence

it was lost

too long for a time

for everlasting letters.

The statue has been hidden

outside a forest.

It is green and dark.
