Review of the Play, Alebee the Goat (Re-Post)
At the house of Fame, Life and Seven Gables, artifacts, county fare bills and notices were found as it was left over by the Roof top workers.
Fame: Bk the God of Sleep learns that the Dream is invited and guided by the Eagle and the unexpected honk that alarmed the sleeping class with a question, Are you the bread? For dreaming of the House of Fame, the sleeper is looking at the long line of bearers for false tiding, the cleansing of the mistaken, the identities of ship men, pilgrims, pardoners and messengers. The message is clear, look elsewhere sleepers and you will never get a chance to look at the Temple of Aeneid-Ditto Depictions.
Life: The worldly working hours welcome Sofa-cum-bed and Futon, on which the narration is always rendered in a poem; ballads and Gannet are for evacuation of the Representatives of Life who see the bearer of conventional wisdom and deeds holding closed doors.
Seven Gables: Martin is the Gems Collector in the play, Alebee the Goat, Edward being the Alibi. His friend and psychologist Ross notices Stevie who is Martin’s wife is being eves dropped into learning about her extra-marital affair and of her secret love forcing herself to move out of her own premises. Before that could happen, Stevie, Martin’s disgruntled wife smashes Martin and his apartment for sleeping with his therapist. Magna Carta is available in bus, in television and in theatre where allegation is a fact not shown to any of them. Martin is known to choose his victims carefully and the victims are mostly innocent visitors who have the capacity to offer for potential Rewards. The fight between Martin and his wife escalates and the bitterness goes on for days! Finally Martin is found breaking into his own house through the roof and is shown to carry a posture to serve Billy Bunter, who has called for tighter abortion laws. Ross the therapist is unaware of Martin or the allegations. Martin is detained later at the Public Palace for selling the Magna Carta and for placing the banner, “Billy Bunter survives in numerous books, Television and Theatres”.
The Theatre convincingly holds the Liberal and Radical values throughout the play, personal views on the Liberation slogans and the basic principles underlying Liberty and Free speech passionately extended in dialogs, without sparing any moment to think about the Due Process or Magna Carta. The Play Alebee the Goat strikes a chord with the listeners for the lack of melody and stanza, in the accompaniment reminding cautiously well the musical is not beyond the title song and should never be dragged out of scope and hope, of this scarce literary work.
