If asked on deathbed, one of the best decisions I have ever...

If asked on deathbed, one of the best decisions I have ever made, it would be this: helping the two kindest, most beautiful women I know, start a family. Today is Elliot’s birthday, his third lap around this sun of ours, and he has been, from the start, such an absolute light. He’s the living embodiment of the undeniable truth that love is love is love and everyone deserves the chance at having it, giving it, and becoming the family they always wanted to be. No president, no prejudice, no antiquated and ridiculous misbelief can change this. Love IS love and I will fight and fight and fight and stand up and scream this at all those that try to take away rights, take away love, from all those trying to have it. I’ll do this for Elliot, for his two beautiful mothers, for every other LGBTQ person that wishes for a family. There is no other way. Happy Birthday Elliot, we love you so beyond much, and are so lucky to be a part of your great big family. Hands down, you were one of the very best things I have ever been part of. I love you buddy. Everyone do me a favor and wish him a happy birthday and let him know where in the world you’re saying it from. Show him how big a planet supports him.
