It has been endlessly spoofed, homage, honored and stolen and become the mark of a franchise with over 5 films and counting. This image, specifically the Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton, was illustrated by the great designer Chip Kidd. Originally, it was the book cover and adapted by Universal to be the logo when the book was optioned and turned into a movie by Steven Spielberg. It went onto become the logo for the film and the actual logo for the park itself.”
