Typewriter Series #2717 by Tyler Knott Gregson
There’s a center,
for each of us, a middle,
a red painted target
and around it rings on rings
on rings, before cork becomes
wall, and wall becomes pock-marked
and holey.
Every dart landing
will teach us of love, will
introduce us to
ourselves,
but there’s a center,
and I’ve always believed
in this.
Some find theirs, some
find something close
and are blissful
and unaware.
Some settle for a
breach in the drywall
and put the game
away.
