Character Art for The Elmnas Chronicles!

Between reading, writing, and living, it’s been a phenomenally busy summer! I’m still working on that IFA Summer Challenge (with some recommendations coming your way in a post later this week) and working steadily through Fox (up to about 45k now, and still going!) But first- CHARACTER ART!

The amazing Danae Keener did character cards for four of the major characters of Mouse. I could not be more pleased- I think she captured their personalities perfectly. Allow me to introduce: the faces of The Elmnas Chronicles!

When she wakes up as a “trauma victim” in Misty Summit’s Manufacturing Facility, Mouse doesn’t remember anything. Not even her real name. They say that work will make her free, but Mouse quickly realizes no one leaves the Summit. At least, not alive. But the emptiness of her past and the terrible secrets of Misty Summit may drive her to seek the impossible…

Berr-Toma Breythorn (or Toma, as he would tell you) a good-natured guy from the Coalition-held province of Maiendell, has known 2 things his whole life- his family and his farm. But when a mysterious young stranger arrives, offering an adventure and a chance to break free of the Coalition’s oppressive rule, Toma finds himself yearning for both. Not to mention, he’s drawn to the stranger herself…

He goes by many names. Beast hunter. King of the Shadows. Warrior. Guardian. These days, he goes by Blade. None living know his true name; indeed, he prefers it that way. But when he meets a fellow Elmling and is given a chance to set right his wrongs, his past can no longer lay forgotten.

Ruthless, cunning, and fierce– not to mention, a fuse so short that crossing her might be the last thing you ever do. This bounty hunter has no fear of pain or death– she’s well acquainted with both– and for the right price, she’ll hunt the last fabled Guardian of Elmnas and his young charges. Meet Fox, and pray you don’t meet her again!

I’ve had a lot of fun with this, and I hope this has whet your appetite for The Elmnas Chronicles: Mouse and/or its upcoming sequel!
