The Polish edition of my memoir (Yes, still milking the same old cow) is called Socialism is Beautiful. The publication of the book was one of the reasons that landed me here at Sopot literature festival. (Yes, I’ve become a literature festival junkie!) I am so pleased to report that my event went very well with a packed enthusiastic audience. I was blessed to have a first class moderator Magosia, a well-know broadcaster, who quickly became my Polish sister and an amazing translator, who seemed to have caught every word I uttered and my old friend Suzi who sat in the front row, nodding and smiling at me admiringly. And I sold several dozen copies! Some of the Polish readers who have read the book told me that what I described in the 80s’ reminded them the life under the Polish Communist rule. And the interviews went well, too!
