An empty seat to fill an empty heart,

would you have believed?

Is endurance a gift, is it worthy
to show appreciation
for the bravery that bubbled up
and spilled out of you?
Is the wait I promise to survive
enough to show you how thankful
I’ll always be
for asking me, first?

to the paces, push the boundaries
of a promise.
