Annabelle Comes Home & countdown to Samhain

Merry meet all,

Recently my boyfriend Vlad and I saw the suspenseful horror movie Annabelle Comes home. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was also truly scared by it. I want to watch it again. The  movie did not disappoint. This is the plot synopsis of the movie-“While babysitting the daughter of Ed and Lorraine Warren, a teenager and her friend unknowingly awaken an evil spirit trapped in a doll.

Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safely” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target–the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.

If you haven’t seen it yet, go. I got to go to a special free screening. In other news, it is 104 days till Samhain. That also tells me how many days my garden veggies have. Samhain is my favorite time of year. I love attending the public ritual and have scarcely missed a year. There is much to look forward to then.

I made two cat protection bottles. I also recorded this in my big spell book. I filled them with naturally shed claws and fur, catnip, salt, sage, rose petals, lavender, catnip, tiger’s eye and amethyst chips, and olive oil. I blended it all well. I glued the black cord to the cork top with hot sealing wax . I concentrated as I did all this. I visualized and empowered the small bottles with my protection intentions. As I did, I saw my cat Penny- one is for me and one is for Vlad and his kitties. As I did, his kitty Nervil came to me the strongest. Salt is for protection and there is more salt in his vial. It is meant to be sealed and used for protective magic. These are just the instructions. I also hot glued a cat to the cork top. Nervil came to me the strongest. He was right there, big eyes wondering, paw extended, wanting a hug.

And because I know Vlad, I also added 6 pieces of (the Devil’s number), Devil’s claw root resin. I do believe these protection jars shall serve him and me well.

I burned a beeswax candle and burned some incense. The night felt magickal. Could be Nervil was protecting Vlad or is in need of it.

I shall gift him the protection bottle the next time I see him.

July is a hard month for me. August is more in line with my energy than July. August is just before September and October. I love the autumn season the most. However, I still want my garden to bloom and flourish so at the same time I can wait. My zucchini plant is taking over my garden. I can’t wait to harvest zucchini. I do feel strange, loving October so much and yet wanting summer to last to give my garden a chance. I shall enjoy it while I can. 

Today the sun is shining, my kitty’s napping and the birds are chirping. The birds chased a squirrel from the bird feeder. I sit here typing, pondering, worrying. I should be out with the flowers and bees and birds. I shall post more as it comes closer to October. !!!
