Ask Me Anything!

Today on /r/fantasy I'll be doing an "Ask Me Anything," which if you've never been to one before it's a kind of Q&A where I'll talk about my books, publishing, or anything you want to chat about.  So please stop by and say hello, or better yet...ask me something!

Patti Hey Michael,
Really enjoyed the Age of Legend. I really like all of the mythological/historical connections between this series and your other Riryia books. Have you ever thought about publishing a book related to the mythology of Riyria? Also was wondering if we ever going to see the connection between the Suri and some of the other wizards in your series like Esrahaddon. He seems like a key character in the whole Percepliquis thing. Thanks, Patti

Chuck Fairly similar question as the above, but concerning Raithe. Having started the series focusing on him, and being the center of almost everything that happened, I was curious if you were going to allude to him being remembered in the Riyria world? Seems a shame to have such a beloved and pivotal character not recognized as someone important in the future.

I would also like to know what his name was, etched on the sword. If you are going to mention that later, no need to answer, but even if you have to make up some gibberish to appease me, go for it!

And thank you for the many hours of entertainment. I am on my 3rd listen through of the entire series.

David Straub Hello Michael,
I would like to know when the kickstarter for ( Age of Death ) will begin. I missed the last kickstarter for Age of Legend, and I don't want to miss this one.

Cairi Hi, Michael!

Non-book related: how goes the birding?

Book related: have there been specific things in the "real world" that have inspired things in your books? Like, say, visiting the Everglades making you starting thinking in terms of "How could that fit into Ryria or Legends?" or eating a taco making you wonder what kind of spices (or lack thereof) the cultures in your novels use?

Mohamed El Mourabite Hello Michael.
What novel do you suggest for an absolute beginner who dreams to become a sci-fi and fantasy writer?
