Summer served up a fleeting moment of beauty during some yard work this week.

The muggy, oppressive heat of summer has settled in. I’m not fond of summer on the best of days–give me a crisp autumn breeze–but I’m especially not fond of days when, for example, a massive medical expense hits, the bathroom door breaks, and wasps build their fourth (!) nest in your yard in two months.

On those days, it really helps to take a step back and turn to a trusted friend for a compassionate ear and wise...
