Sounds like a joke, right? It’s not but they’ll make you laugh your ass off.
Honestly I’ve not laughed out loud reading a book in so long I don’t remember what book it was but I’m never forgetting Bootleg Springs by Lucy Score and Claire Kingsley. There are six books in the series (the final book out next month) and every single one of them had me.
Bootleg Springs is this quirky town where every character bursts off the page in 3D technicolor splendor. OMG! The chicken! The series is worth reading just for the chicken. And of course they had to throw in a little suspense (which is my crack) and bam! I’m done. I’m packing up and moving to Bootleg Springs.
