‘Lincoln Lawyer’ Series in Development at CBS from David E. Kelley

Written by Kelley, The Lincoln Lawyer centers on Mickey Haller, an iconoclastic idealist, who runs his law practice out of the back of his Lincoln Town Car, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Kelley will executive produce with Connelly and Ross Fineman.

Treva Parkins I love all the Connelly's characters, but I have to say Mikey Haller is one of my favorite. I'll be looking forward to the series!!

Nick Bosch is Amazon and Haller will be CBS. Can you please pick a network Michael Connelly and stick with it?

message 5: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Mumpton I hope it is on network CBS TV. I don't have access to the online ones.

Jessica Bosch is on Amazon cause the networks wouldnt pick it up. Keep doing what you are doing MC, love your novels and your characters.

I concur!

Kevin Kern I have read every Lincoln lawyer book and only Matthew McConaughey will ever be Mickey Haller for me. I will watch it, though.
Online TV is not very good for many Americans, so I hope it is on network.

message 9: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I think it is funny you think Matthew McConnaughey is your only LL. I thought he was a terrible choice. Haller is a 100% Cali kid and MM didn't even try to reduce his predominant Texas accent. Looking forward to seeing who they cast.

message 10: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Kern There are many accents in Southern California. I was born and raised there. Even tho his accent was Texan, he was great in the role, in my opinion. I am not sure where Cali is and a Los Angeles person, like Mickey Haller is very different from a lawyer in the Bay area.

message 11: by Jenna (new)

Jenna I thought he did a good job. But I’ll watch the show if I can regardless. Love MC but I don’t have the thing that carries Bosch. While that actor isn’t exactly who I picture, it’s my understanding it’s a great show. My friend & her family love it and have never read the books. If MC is connected, it’ll be good.

I so agree with you. I was going to write the same thing about Matthew. I thought he was great in this part and can't see anyone else playing the character. Glad we agree!

message 13: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Kern Thanks, Patricia. I am glad someone else loves Matthew as the Lincoln Lawyer. I love Connelly's books so much. Each one takes me back home. I can't stream shows, so I have't watched Bosch. No matter who plays Haller, I will watch this. I did get a little pissy in message 10, but I hate the word "Cali".

message 14: by Patricia (new)

Patricia Williams Kevin. I have watched Bosch. It is really, really good. The actors who play the characters are excellent. I too will watch Lincoln Lawyer and hope that it will be as well done as Bosch.

message 15: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Kern Sometimes, other cable networks pick up series like Bosch, so I will have to hope that happens. It would seem to me, that letting a network purchase rights to a streamed series, would be great publicity for all involved. I love the books, so it would be great to see it onscreen.

message 16: by Jenna (new)

Jenna it will usually go on dvd. when that happens, eventually the library gets them and i get it from there.

message 17: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Kern Well, I will have to remember that. Streaming works well some places, but not where I live. I cannot even connect to my app store on my iPad tonight.

I guess the Network doesnt get a say then Nick. How do you know Amazon wanted to do LL?

I'm new. There's no place I can give you a thumbs up, a star, or say ditto?

I AGREE!

Love the character. Looking forward to it. Hope it is on regular CBS, too!!!!

Maybe both? Not all of us want to pay for what all of the other "geriatric" networks provide for free a day after airing.

Heather Nick wrote: "Bosch is Amazon and Haller will be CBS. Can you please pick a network Michael Connelly and stick with it?"

He goes with who picks up the series...not in his control.

message 23: by Nick (new)

Nick Fake News.

message 24: by Terry (new)

Terry Bosch is great on Amazon, better because no commercials to interrupt and you can watch when you want. I think it's interesting that the person who plays Mickey's character in Bosch is a woman. He does a great job of bringing in parts from his books, like "Angels Flight". Glad that MC retains control.
