Movie Review: Amazing Grace by Michael Apted

Amazing Grace (c) 2007 Drcd. by Michael AptedI recently watched a movie that I’ve seen before and really enjoyed. Amazing Grace directed by Michael Apted is an enjoyable and educational movie about the life of William Wilberforce who, during the late 1700s and early 1800s fought for years in Parliament to end the slave trade and slavery itself. With England’s economy addicted to the slave trade, it was not an easy fight. But he had many supporters, including his wife Barbara, his mentor John Newton, and many others. I recommend this to people who enjoy clean, inspiring stories about historical figures.
