Graves is released

My novel Graves (A Distressing Novel) has been released, today being the official release date.

For any who missed it, here is a link to the episode of Sherds Podcast in which the host, Sam Pulham, interviews me about the novel and related things:

There is also an unfavourable review of the novel from Publishers Weekly (containing spoilers) here:

https://www.publishersweekly.com/978-...

I hope people will find the novel worth reading. Perhaps this is an opportune moment to remind the reader of Kafka's view of the role of books in human life:

AD to be honest, I was undecided but that negative review ... HC ordered

Quentin Crisp I hope it's worth it. I shall notify the publisher of the efficacy of the negative review.

I am about half way through and certainly I would consider it worth it

Quentin Crisp Hello AD.

I've only just seen this comment for some reason. Thank you. I hope it didn't slip drastically after that. I know that such things can happen.

AD not at all, the late interlude in the Church was a particular favourite sequence in the book...

I felt slightly confronted by other portions, which is good, I in no way regret my purchase

Quentin Crisp Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. It's always good to get a glimpse (or more) of a reader's experience.
