There were times when we were together,
And there were times when we were apart;
Yet, we lived alongside each other,
Within each other’s fluttering heart.
There are times when I’ve hurt you,
For which you repaid me with pleasure;
My anger was glazed by a smile like soft dew,
With love driving to a great measure.
There were times when we laughed hard and high,
Our joy reverberating from the surrounding trees;
There also were times when we each prompted a sigh
But we forgave and were forgiven, like innocent babies.
There is a time when I long for you,
To feel your warm smile flooding me with delight;
There is a time when I yearn for you,
To be in your arms, while you save me from plight.
Will there be a time to meet you again?
To walk with you in our stairs and slopes;
Will there be a time again to hear your voice?
Maybe, a lingering echo to make me hope.
