a Fire in the West

Time for an update. Lucia Mudgeway of Australia and I have finished and published the third novel of the Stonegate Series. It is called A Fire in the West.
It contains many of the same characters as the first two novels, but it emphasizes a new generation that is coming of age. The question we address is somewhat familiar. Can these young people, raised in a time of peace, rise to meet the challenge of an evil aggressor, once more attempting to conquer and enslave them?
This is not exactly a young adult book. Our intended audience is adults, but it is quite suitable for younger readers, especially since two of the main characters are young people, just starting out in life.
As before, the novel steps all over traditional genre boundaries. It is not exactly dystopian, not exactly fantasy, not exactly action-adventure and not exactly romance. But there are elements of all these.
