Jerry Etruscus became Prime Minister after the events of Love and Robotics, heaven help us. Laura has made her name with Bad Cat, online cartoons about her cantankerous childhood pet Honey.

There are plenty of other developments, but they are so closely bound up with the original novels, they could be considered spoilers.
