Name of the Rose

Umberto Eco – The Name of the Rose (1980)

In my youth, I remember the nights

when I was reminded, of my state of human.

A young child grows, over and over, even

if her body is not that great by weight.

In my youth, I remember the nights

when the fever got into my body, and soul.

I hardly forget my pain, immense pain

how I got through two or three hours.

I have seen a lot of people, lose it all.

All reasons can be given, except for one

in my family, as a condition of humanity.

All kind(s) of a definition may(be) a name

for misbehaviour and an excuse for disease.

It was a Sunday, evening, late at night.

The same light, after World War II, in

three days, I suppose, I was still alive, yes.

It is his favourite colour, and I know

when I give someone I really do love

my rose of today, tomorrow and yesterday

in my personal and private family way!

The Religion of The Blue Circle

Petra Hermans
Let's talk about life.
Let's talk about love.
Let's write about religion.
And keep quiet in silent silence.
