All Books Won’t Please Everyone

I recently attended a conference, and was impressed with one of the keynote speakers. I’d never heard of her, but she writes mystery/thriller/police procedurals which are right up my alley. Plus, they’re set in Los Angeles, where I grew up. She was a great speaker–funny and open. I thought it would be good to read at least one of her books, see if I liked it.
