My dad and Jack Daniels Balls

Growing up in Texas, I learned early on that there are FOUR men in this world you can always count on... Captain Morgan, Jim Beam, Jack Daniels and dear ol' Dad!! Though none have ever let me down, three of the four have prevented me from getting up!
Texans just love our libations!!
Christmas at our house was festive even in the lean times. Part of that holiday spirit was inspired by a completely different spirit... one of the distilled variety!!
My dad has made "Whiskey Balls" pretty much every year since I was a little more than a gleam in his eye and let me tell ya', that's a lotta years and a lotta balls!
I thought I would share his recipe with you today, although he rarely measures. He's one of those talented cooks who can "eyeball" just about anything and still get it right!
Hope you enjoy!!

My youngest daughter, Crystal, loves her Paw Paw!! Christmas 2010

And last but not least, my oldest son, Brandon, showing his comedic personality while sitting in Paw Paw Santa's lap!! I think he got a bag full of switches last year!!
