On a mini break from editing my manuscript I tried out Google’s new Poem Portraits where you “donate” a word and the AI generates a poem. The word I chose was “healing.” I didn’t like the first poem, but the second was better (which I’m showing first). I still prefer poetry that is written by humans – it is more meaningful – but it was a fun experiment.

I found the service via Jane Friedman. You can try it out at https://artsexperiments.withgoogle.com/poemportraits/

If you want to save a copy of your generated poem portrait click “save portrait” or take a screenshot.

#poetry #poem #generatedpoetry
#poemportrait #google
#cherylrainfield #YAwriter #LGBTQwriter #booknerd #bookworm #ireadYA #survivor #feminist
