Hell and ice cream.

I’ve been having an idea drought for the past year. Too many voices in my head (criticism, expectations, self-inflicted requirements). Too many past wounds (I’ve been so wrong about projects before…). I’ve had other distractions to let me ignore this idea drought, but I’m reaching the end of my distractions, and I’m left facing all my insecurities head-on.

How do you write above the noise?

For now, I’m going back to the beginning. I’m trying (emphasis on TRYING) to give myself freedom to explore and experiment and be wrong. I’m searching out ways to make this whole process fun again. I’m fighting, hard, to reclaim my spark under all this suffocating nonsense.
